"Mexico native ""Melipona Bee"" is responsible for pollinating vanilla pods. In this process, the orchids provide a long green fruit commonly called a vanilla pod. There were numerous attempts to cultivate Vanilla pods outside of Mexico but no one suceeded to fertilize vanilla outside its native area. Gourmand and suave, Melipona has an elegant opening, followed by woody and vanilla notes that give way to oriental, amber notes at the base."
